For those reading the thread on 14/0s and such getting dumped this Big Boy almost dumped Jimmy Bois on Venice pier. There are MONSTER Hammers out there much bigger then this specimen that will absolutely vaporize all your line off your reel, no matter how big or well made new fangled they are,,,,,,fish Boca Grande or Palm Beach at the right time of the year and you will find out if what I am saying here is true or not----hold on tight    oh and pray that your brakes  are good enough

Will has some of the most experience compared to any sharkfisherman in Florida and he's 100% correct! I've only been doing it for a few years, and have already been sitting in the sand holding on for my life just helplessly watching all my line leave my reel on locked drag. Landing a 12ft+ hammerhead takes perfect preparation, skill, and good fortune.
